Concerned citizens in Flint and Genesee County to Unite For What's Right. They will join communities across the nation in a solidarity march with Selma. 50 years ago, heroes of the civil rights movement marched in Selma, Alabama. On the anniversary of that iconic march, they will be walking in their footsteps.
On March, 8 at 1:30 pm, residents beginning at the bridge over the Flint River on Saginaw Street and conclude at the Genesee County Court house. Volunteers will be on hand registering people to vote and encouraging them to utilize the rights that civil rights leaders fought and died for. Speakers will be on hand to discuss the issues of justice Flint residents currently face; accountability from our elected leaders, water quality, and public safety.
